High turnouts in Tripura Assembly Election: 20 ST reserved seat crucial.

Agartala, 20 Feb: Tripura witnessed a record breaking 93.5% voters turnout, highest in the country, in the recently concluded assembly election of Tripura. The fate of 249 candidates have been sealed inside the voting machine control unit whill will be know only on 28 February. Meanwhile the Opposition Congress party is confident of forming the next government in Tripura, Mr Sudip Roy Barman, President of Tripura Pradesh Congress in the press conference said that the Congress-INPT-NCT will jointly form the next government in Tripura with a 'comfortable majority'.

The ruling CPIM party too just concluded post election meet and reiterate their confidense in forming the next 7th Left Front Government in Tripura.

28 February 2013 will be a history in the making as it will witness who will form the next government. But this election will also be closely watched by political analyst for another reason, the rise of Maharaja Pradyot Debbarma in Tripura politics. What will be the impact of his campaign among the Tripura voters will only be known on the D-Day. The outcome of this 2013 election will be crucial for his next move in Tripura politics.
