Tripura, the erstwhile great kingdom ruled by the worlds second oldest dynasty the Manikya dynasty had a glorious past by virtue of its mighty kings and her great people. Yes ! she was great once upon a time but not now...!!. The bwsa or sons of Tripura of this age proudly like to say that their land was once a great kingdom ruled by great kings as is evident from the Ujjayanta palace standing in the heart of the capital of which type we will find nowhere in present Eastern India, then we have the Neermahal- the largest lake palace in Eastern India, the mystic Unokoti, etc. But my dear brothers & sisters what we..!!, the current generation have done for our motherland ???

Agartala, 28 Feb 2010: 'mum do doro mun' a new book for the children was launched today following a spectacular program in Dasarath Hukumu Hall at Agartala. 'mun do doro mun' a collection of beautiful kokborok poems and rhymes for the children is written by Mr Narendra Debbarma, 'the book is collection of rhymes for the children which remind us of our childhood days', says the author delightfully.

Mr Debbarma is not new in the Kokborok litrature world, he has a huge collection of poems, story, drama to his credit. One cannot forget the famous romantic 'natok' 'siyari pantwi' which was aired .........

Communal attack on Jummas by Military Forces and Bengali Settlers   [2/25/2010]

New Delhi Feb 25, 2010: All roads led to Jantar mantar today at 11 am, as several hundreds of Peace loving Indigenous people of Tripura, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh came out on the streets in New Delhi to protest against the barbaric killing and communal attacks on the thousands of Jumma Indigenous people of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) of Bangladesh.

They also submitted an memorandum to the Honourable Prime minister of India, Dr Manmohan Singh to seek the interventions of the Government of India with the Government of Bangladesh against the communal attacks on the tribals in the Chittagong Hill trac .........
