Heated Argument Turned Violence between TSF and TSU, [1/24/2010]
By Our Reporter, feedback@tiprasa.com

Agartala, Jan. 24, 2010: The khumwlung picnic spot witnessed some violence due to a heated argument which turned into a major brawl between TSF and TSU during students picnic tour in Khumwlung, Head Quarter of TTAADC.

Sources said that members of TSF arranged a picnic for their student members. During their return, members of TSU started abusing the student members of TSF using filthy language, attacking buses with sharp rod and wood sticks.

This entire tamasha begins when both the student organisations were present in the same picnic spot.

The clash turned ugly when the TSU members blocked the road again in the same area with some of them sustaining minor injuries.

TSF has alleged that TSU started the ruckus by throwing abusive language against their members.

However, TSU rubbished the allegations and blamed TSF for starting the heated argument and rejected the accusations.

Meanwhile, the TSU claimed innocence and that false allegation were slapped on them.

During the confrontation between the two rival organisations left Uma Shankar Debbarma General Secretary of TSF with severe hand injuries.

This is a pre-planned attacks made by TSU aggrieved members to disrupt our picnic tour, said a TSF member.

A committee will be formed that will gather evidence and to look at the incidents says the Finance secretary of TSF.

Looking at the brawl of the incident it seems both TSF and TSU are now slapping allegation on one another instead of coming together for their common cause and demands.

Both Twipra students Federation (TSF) and Tribal students Union (TSU) were two leading tribal based student organisations of Tripura.

".. Each individual of TSF and TSU should realize that we are the branches of same root. Its absolutely right that in the ground of politics we have different opinion. Perhaps, both the student organization is working for the interest of Tribal community and others. So, such kind of violence is totally worthless and baseless & I personally condemned such unwanted incidents and in future it should not occur. .."

".. THis only shows how immature the student orgnasation are both TSF/TSU, one is capable but powerless, the other is powerful but not capable,
Grow up guys .."

".. TSF had become a defunct organisation nowadays. It is wandering aimlessly without any genuine purpose. Of late they have became fun-event organiser, only known for organising freshers' programmes and picnics. Their participation in important issues pertaining to the actual purpose of the organisation is minimal or nil. They are not serious about advices given by the concerned advisors.....unfortunately!!. Regarding TSU, their aim or motto is itself vague and are publicity-starved. I suggest the members of both the organisations to fight more intensely to such a level that none of their members survive it, and so that there will be no such reports which discourages the unity of the tiprasas. .."

".. u..r absolutely right Mr somprai both the organization r aimless at present.don't they open there eyes, in ADC areas senior basis and high school has only 3-5 teacher in a school, where as in bengali areas(specially in agartala)where per subject 2-5 teacher r appointed.why don't they fight for this instead of fighting themselves.nearly 10 new colleges & diploma institution r constructing how many of them come under ADC areas.i have a suggestion to this groups go ahead and fight for the tripuri student that will makes us proud to mention ur organization name.  .."
