Proposed Hunger Strike Begins Today; Indefinite Fast if it arose: N C Debbarma,

 Agartala, Jan. 25, 2010: The IPFT Central Executive Committee leaders led by N C Debbarma today began a three day hunger strike along with 38 other members here 11 am demanding a new separate state for the son of the soils in the state capital.
Aghore Debbarma, Member of the CEC asserts that majority of the Indigenous population now wants a new state. Mr. Debbarma also threatened to go on indefinite strike.
Mr. N C Debbarma demanded the centre to make a statement that a new state would be bifurcated. The IPFT chief is concerned over the continuing of exploitation and deprivation in the ADC areas.
Since we are facing identity crisis being the natives, we want separate state to preserve our identity based on the TTAADC (Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Councils) Areas under the 6th Scheduled of the Indian Constitution said, Mr. Mevar Kumar Jamatia.
We stand by our decision and we will continue says Rana Kishore Reang another stalwart member of the executive committee.
Massive volunteers and party cadres were seen around the fasting sight. Meanwhile 7 women members of the party joined the strike led by Ms. Manju Debbarma President of IWFT (women wings of IPFT).
Furthermore, to mount pressure on the Centre and the Tripura government, IPFT would also launch hunger strike in New Delhi.
The IPFT Advisory Chairman Harinath Debbarma said over the phone while addressing to the media that party delegation will arrive soon in the national capital to persuade the centre.
A team of medicos were also present at the camp, incase of medical emergency during the protest fast. Meanwhile, to monitor the situation, security arrangements have also been made to prevent any untoward incidents.
Addressing people at the hunger strike camp Ms. Patal Kanya Jamatia urge upon the indigenous youth to join the movement for a better future tomorrow.
 Ms. Manju Debbarma President of IWFT (Indigenous Women Front of Tripura) said, Indigenous youth both girls and Boys should come forward and carry the continuing legacy.
While addressing at a news conference Mr. Bijan Dhar CPM Secretary and Central Committee Member condemned the demand for a separate state as Divisive and Communal.
Other prominent figures present in the ongoing strike are Buddha Debbarma, Binoy Debbarma, Bidyut Debbarma and Krishna Kanta Jamatia.
The Tripura Tribal Area Autonomous District Council consists of 7,132.56 sq. kms i.e. 71 % of the total area of the state with 82% of Indigenous people.

all parties including ruling CPIM should support for the good cause of the natives.
19 MLAs is huge number if they support the cause for the separate state.
How many days they will keep supporting the Bangladeshi immigrants in the state and in the country.
Lets see how much Mr N.C. and Mebar Kr can lead us....though they have no record of winning the elections!

First of all,get your facts correct.Don't post anything blindly in tiprasa.com which is not backed by any proofs and which you have happened to hear just from other people's mouth and your friends.
If you hate the above two persons,keep it till the personal level but really you don't have the right to ridicule them here!
One side,you are saying,you support the formation of a separate state!!
and on the other side,you are abusing and spreading false propaganda about the main IPFT leaders,come on have you ever worked with them,ever exchanged a few words?? and you are like!!
they are starving out of Hunger out there,had no food for the last 48 hours,i know you stay in agartala..have u even bothered to go near that venue and check out what's the condition of your fellow boroks?? i know what your answer will be!

But kwpal hamya tiprasa bwsa rok,it seems only IPFT party has that foresighted vision to see what its gonna be like,after 20 years for us.But who cares!
The local media has indeed totally boycotted the entire Hunger strike as expected,except dainik sambad and syandan,who somehow could manage to publish only a small column,post hunger strike!
Even Our present CM in an interview in www.tripurainfo.in said this:-
"All I can say is it(Separate state) is a day dream of politically irrelevant forces seeking a role for themselves. The tribal people in our state have no support for such demands..
He also further stated-
The tribal and non-tribal people of Tripura will never tolerate division of this state to fulfil the misguided political ambition of fissiparous forces."
So after hearing this interview,you cant say much or hope for anymore! you will be bound to live the way,it is right now,and eventually die a slow death!
So Study Study Study,and become Doctor,engineers,MBA's..
thats the only thing i can suggest to my fellow boroks! coz Life is a Race! or you will be like a broken aanda(eggs)!! .."
