Ranjit thrash the demand for seperate state, [2/4/2010]
By Our Reporter, feedback@tiprasa.com

Agartala, Feb 03 2010: Mr Ranjit Debbarma, CEM, TTAADC today thrashed the demand of separate state of IPFT. To stop and prevent development work of the government is the main motive behind such demand, stated Mr Debbarma while inaugurating an ADC Sub Zonal Office at Gandhachera.
He further said that such demand will only take Tripuris 50 years behind.

The attack on IPFT's demand of separate state has increased double fold in recent times following the 72 Hours Hunger Strike by the IPFT activist in 25 Jan 2010 at Agartala.

Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and Gautam Das of the CPIM have already condemn such demand in recent times.

With the ADC election nearing and the demand gaining momentum among the Tripuris the Left Front leaders leave no stone unturned to attack and curve the demand.

Earlier in the day some central committee members of NCT has left the dying party and joined IPFT further strengthening the party.
'We joined IPFT because this is the only demand we can fight for today' said Mr Subendu Debbarma a new IPFT member, on being asked why he joined IPFT he said that 'if I want power and money I could have joined the ruling party and the other regional parties have no agenda'

".. My question is why separate state? Let's chang this mindset of blaming on each other. I don't belong to ADC area who will demand for me a seperate state?. I stand for all irrespective of area. The state belong to us, so there should be no question of dividing it. We should not be pupet like most of our leaders make unecessary speeches. They all are circus item heros.Respected leader History repeats don't ignore 50 years old history. .."

".. With due respect to the above CEM Sir...

Its normally expected from you that since you being the ruling party, any movement by the opposition parties will seem like a mistake or a big joke to you.
I am not concerned and dont care what your fellow bengali comrades have said before! because i feel, only a tiprasa can understand a fellow tiprasa's aspirations and problems.but today your this comments have really saddened me,and why only me,but also the other thousands of upcoming youth like me!
At one point of time in my life,i was proud to be born as a tiprasa, but circumstances like this are really making me introspect and feel, that i shoudnt have been born in the land of tripura.

Sir,if you can and possible,
Please listen to your heart atleast once, and ask yourself, who is correct and who is wrong?
and analyze the pros and cons of the demand! ie.whether the idea of a sep. state is really that bad and merely a political stunt(hawabaazi)??
Hambai! .."

".. @Swapan,
If you do not support separate state just because your house/place is not under ADC area then I pity you for your selfish interest.

Nevertheless If you don't support it because you have a better solution, then I would admire you to give us some solution to the ongoing problem, (please don't give us solution like education, unity etc blah blah blah we have heard enough) which is feasible in present context

".. @swapan.
See i am not blaming directly anyone!!
i was just expressing my grief, how a tiprasa is cutting the legs of its own fellow tiprasa! If i have done a sin by this act of mine, let me rot in hell!

anyways your view, that we shoudnt demand a sep. state as people like you and others staying in non-adc areas will be left behind is totally pointless....!!
I coudn't agree with that fact!
and please let us stop being emotional(by saying tripura is our state, why shud we give it to others and so and so) lets be practical and start using our brains!
What have we achieved in the last 60 years?
Do we have any big business man/entrepreneur? How many CM's we had till now?
How many IAS/IPS/IFS/IRS officers we had.
and why are we losing our boys and girls to other communities?
Why is no educated tiprasa willing to go back to tripura.like you and me?
This are the questions? If you have answers for it,Then i would say,Separate state is not necessary & vice versa!

".. we need to fight for the separate state now, irrespective of our political views. How much more do we want to suffer?may be our past leaders have committed lots of mistakes but today we have realized what we need.if we dnt hab a separate state i dont think we will have our identity as "Borok people" after ten or twenty years. .."

".. Hi Guys,
I already mentioned about who demands for what in our earlier discussion...........
Before we demand, can we all become united under one umbrella...lets not care who the politicians are ...if we all are united irrespective of our surnames, languages and places, these politicians have to beg us first.

There are 20 MLAs among boroks in Tripura assembly. We dont care what they think about now.But if we all are together irrespective of our religions, political views and langauges, they have to obey what we says. They will not sing what wansa says.
I can see lot of comments and arguements in orkut, facebook and also in this website.
If there is any community to be one for only borok am very much interested.

".. Hi Members'
Now a movement of freedom has started make ADC a separate state...is this the idea that we are giving to our coming generation, youth?? is this the way of demand?? i think since 1995 we are giving fuel to this agenda. As our Uncles and Grandpa's (Leader's) know themselves how they will run a state without electricity, proper medical facilities, School's, Market,etc.. all the basic needs of a civilized society. Isn't a demand illogical?? Right now?
Or they demanding Missile and hoping for a Gun to get out of it??
Why can't we demand for more assembly seats?? More participation in Administration?? Education??
The present situation that prevails now isn't we providing a negative impact on our coming generation.. Gorkha's fighting for the same since long back then our's what had happened to them..? Don't we have anything to learn from them??
For any political person finance and education is the most important thing does we have that??

".. Dear Johnsoumya!
Everyone here is aware of the Free state movement, initiated by IPFT.
I think,u entered the scene a little late in this particular issue, otherwise i am damn sure, you would have surely managed to stole all the limelight from this!

anyways Coming back to your points,i guess, you are quite satisfied with the present scenario and condition back home in your state.
You said, how the hell are we gonna run a state with out electricity, school's,medical facilities??
let me question you,how many decades have passed since ADC was formed?
why is that, such facilities have not been able to be provided to our grassroot people till now!
Why non-tribal areas have all the such above facilities?
why not a single non-tribal dies due to Meninghitis in LT valley? and the maximum number of casualties is either a reang or a tripura?
why only schools in tribal areas(Adc) are made TSR/AR camps and SPO camps but not in non-tribal(plain somotal areas)? .."
Chokreng Borok, chokreng_borok@yahoo.co.in , 2/20/2010

".. and about more assembly seats, more participation in admn.?
where is your population? i think you are not aware of the present demographic ratio!
yes,i understand,Your study place Delhi is quite far from tripura.
So let me enlighten you..
John sir,as you know there are 20 seats reserved for us,do you have any idea, some of the seats are soon going to be dominated by the non-tribals,as the non-tribal population have surpassed the tribal votes.
Here are some of the figures:-
1) Charilam S/T 34% Non Tripuris 66% 2)Bagma Udaipur 46% S/T (Non S/T 54%
3) Santirbazar 34% S/T(Non S/T 66%
4) Julaibari 45% S/T(Non-S/T)-65%
5) Manu 45% S/T(Non-S/T) 65%
6)Krishnapur 45%S/T(Non-S/T 65%
7)Ambasa 45% S/T(Non-S/T 65%
8)Golaghati 45% S/T(Non-S/T 65% .."
Chokreng Borok, chokreng_borok@yahoo.co.in , 2/20/2010

".. John sir.(contd)
Please dont cut your legs with your own axle anymore!
Separate state is the only hope and way left for us,to save our idendity and centuries old culture and to protect our people from the indirect, cleverer forms of discrimination meted out to them,
otherwise the State Museum in Post office chowmohani,Agartala is the only place where we are going to find ourselves,

Yes,your ideology and your political views may differ from others.

I might be a IPFT/INPT and You might be a hardcore COMMUNIST,CPIM(waiting for mothers to give birth to a people like Dasharatha DeB,Aghore and Sudhanya).
But sir,plz lets be optimistic and not live in all those kind of dreams and fantasies,
and first let Chokreng Borok and John soumya to get united, stop their in house fighting, and lets keep all our differences and selfish vested interest aside.
becoz at the end of the day,its our people who are the sufferers and losers!
coz,in Tripura if the Congress comes also,we are the minority/losers and again if the CPIM comes also,we are still the same minority/losers.. .."

".. Hi Chokreng,
Thanks for the statistical data you provided..its really helpful to know our position...but who prepare this??... Anybody among us?? Do we know where we stand??..its others showing us, what we are.
Studying away from home doesn't imply somebody has no respect or unaware of home. I am not against unification of Tiprasa..But uniting ourselves by dividing our own Land is something else. We got very less in our share after joining India after 1947 in the pact Chakla Roshanabad(Main Revenue generating region) was excluded (was done by some officials who was not Tiprasa) due to lack of unaware people among us. Now again in the fear of Loosing fertile and important places to others.. .."
johnsoumya Deb Barma, johnsoumya@gmail.com , 2/20/2010

".. The point raised by Mr.Soumya that we should learn from the gorkhas is void!!. The Gorkhas' demand is based on their own circumstances; whereas the Tripuris have their own distinct circumstances, which have became unique in this world(the indigenious people being minority in their own homeland). Regarding the separate state demand, it is a sort of emergency inorder to save the indigenious stock. But,even if the demand is fulfilled (suppose..!!), I doubt the existence of a stable government!! Even in the current scenario the Tripuris are not united!!!...how can we expect an existence of united Tripuris in the so-called separate state!!! The influx of Bangladeshis will still continue in the "separate state" and eventually again they will become majority and thereby again there will be fresh demand for another separate state leading to even more smaller territory and ultimately there wil total displacement of the Tripuris from their homeland. Thus, first of all we have to see whether we are at all prepared for the "separate state" effect, no doubt the demand is a far-sighted one.    .."
Somprai, borokdb@rediffmail.com , 2/20/2010

".. Continued.
Mr. Chokreng,
I am not in support of any ideology of COMMUNIST or SEPARATIST..but of HUMANIST. Enough blood has flown in our land.. So NO MORE BLOOD.You won't find in the communist history where bloodshed is not there and so as Separatist. My question is how to unite all of us like we supported Sourabhee altogether for a definitive and a constructive cause?? .."
johnsoumya Deb Barma, johnsoumya@gmail.com , 2/20/2010

".. @John soumya
Now it seems you are doubting the statistical data that i have provided!
But you seem to have said before,by being in delhi also, you are quite aware of the present scenario back home,
but my question is how are you not aware of the statistical facts of the vote bank?
How come you missed it?
As you know, before every election, draft rolls are updated and published by the election commision and so this facts have come out after that same process!

And please let us stop lamenting and complaining about our past.like what wrong has been done with us,where was the problem and other s**t!
Please let us live in the present and work towards creating a better future for our upcoming generation! (Which is not at all possible under the present circumstances and situation prevailing in tripura)

It seems you are happy to live your remaining life in aguli, hence the fear of losing your bungalow, fertile lands and shiit!
But what about the rest rural population who according to govt sources are now developing and have now become APL!(Its a big Lie though) there are still some areas where even electricity lines have not reached, what to talk about mobile towers and other basic amenities.the funds allocated under NREGA and SJRSY never reach the desired target,it gets perished some where in the middle way.
Hence The rich are getting richer, and the poor becoming more poorer!

.."
Chokreng Borok, chokreng_borok@yahoo.in , 2/20/2010

".. So please tell this Idiot, bastard Chokreng ,how you are going to solve this Menace under the current scenario, with out creating a SEPARATE STATE!!
okay,i will agree with you!
This Gorkha/Telengana/Bodos/Dimasas/Kamtapuris/Garos and now the IPFT are all big fools and selfish minded!
You may think,All are just for political stunts and fulfilling their own political  and selfish vested interest!
But sir,all of them cannot be wrong at the same time and you cannot just thrash their demand.
I didnt refer to you as a communist,i was just quoting an example, that may be, i am an IPFT/INPT and you a Communist.
but still lets keep.......and so on!
but may be i was wrong,i should have referred to you like that that time itself,
because i am noticing only the Non-tribals(Illegal immigrants),CPIM,Manik,Ranjit,Radhacharan, the so called Townya's(the ones who used to call their own people as MAMA/MAMIS,in d early 80's) and you(John) are against the separation.but why?
The latest development is that even INPT has now made it an issue for their upcoming ADC elections.
So,I would rather prefer to be an optimistic and simply quote
"Better late than never"..
Hambai.Takhuk! .."
