As your query is about Aeronautical Engineering, it is a study of engineering of aviation, as you know aviation is the transport of the rich, so the study is of very vital. There is no limit for your career graph in this field as we say 'sky is the limit'. But none the less the major concern about this field of study is that it is very expensive, even if you get a degree you have to get Pilot license which is very expensive, If you can afford the initial payment which goes on for some lakhs, then you need not worry in future because when you are employed be it in private or govt sector you will be paid very highly. You should have very high coordination of eye and hand, your reflex should be very high and sensitive, as this are required to qualify for the job. Apart from becoming pilot you also can join Indian air force as a defense personal which is very rewarding career. All the best with your career

Dear Ignesh, According to the query put by you it can be answered in two possible ways: (1) Doing Aeronautical Engineering first of all requires you to clear entrance exam conducted by the institute which offers the course and one may require 45-55 % aggregate (for ST/SC) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at +2 level. This again varies from institute to institute. I would say solid background in Physics and Mathematics is very important to be a good Aeronautical Engineer (2) This field demands high caliber and good aptitude. It is a specialized branch of engineering in which one can study design, manufacturing, maintenance, control and guidance of aircraft. If it deals beyond aircraft, it is known as aerospace engineering which deals both with the study of aircraft and spacecraft design, control and guidance, manufacturing and maintenance. This area has only scope in Aerospace industries and defense (army, navy and air force) and if you pursue higher studies like M.Tech and PhD you may join teaching fraternity of any technical institute.
I would say that you would be in a better position if you pursue B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electronics & Communication or Electrical Engineering. After completing B.Tech in any of the above disciplines you can join Aerospace industries as is the practice with many corporate bodies and organizations. The advantage is that you may remain in your own discipline of study if you are not interested to become Aeronautical Engineer. With only few IITs and Punjab Engineering College offering B.Tech in Aerospace/ Aeronautical Engineering among Govt. funded institutes it would be costly like any other B.Tech course to undergo this course in some of the private engineering colleges and universities.
Now the decision is yours and up to you to decide what to do and not.
