Sourabhee Debbarma Breaks Guinness World Record

Sourabhee Debbarma, the first Female Indian Idol who hailed from Tripura breaks the Guinness World Record and made to the list of Guiness Book of World Record.

In the telecast on March 18 on a private TV channel, the former Indian Idol winner Sourabhee Debbarma attempted to sing a song hanging upside down. She took the challenge to break the existing record of New Zealands Rebecca Wright, who sang upside down for 3 Min 53 Seconds.

The 25-year-old singer claims it wasnt an easy feat practicing singing upside down, "On the first day, She got a very bad headache and couldnt sleep well", she said. It was only after practicing hard for five-six days that she slowly got used to it and finally broke the record.

In her attempt to break the current world records she sang three Bollywood numbers of the the host of the show and Bollywood actress Priety Zinta.

Guinness World Records Adjudicator Mr. Kristian Teufel validated the achievements and recognize the new Guinness World Records officially.

She sang for 4 minutes and 30 seconds, which was a new world record & it really enthralled the audience and won their hearts.

Preity Zinta immediately hugged and congratulated the brave young girl from Tripura for being able to execute the daring feat so effortlessly and making India proud.

As soon as she achieved the feat, congratulatory messages started flowing in for Sourabhee from both her friends and the people of her state Tripura.
